International flights in a sport aircraft offer fantastic opportunities to see the world differently. I want to share this experience with anyone who has the same passion. That is the main reason why we have developed this portal in which you can find aerial photos and videos of places in Europe, Africa, New Zealand and the . To record the flights I carry three cameras under the aircraft (two under the wings and one under the tail) and a hand-held camera inside the cabin. To my knowledge we now own the largest collection of aerial video and photo records of European islands and many cities as well as other points of interest such as volcanoes, fjords, glaciers etc. - some 6000 Gb of material.
My main focus is unusual features (islands, volcanos, glaciers, mountains, fjords etc.) or historical places (mainly WWII and WWI). I work closely with the No 1 internet news portal in the Czech Republic - iDNES.cz, which publishes the photos, articles, videos and an interactive map on line so that their readers can follow my expeditions in real time. The readership is between 20-50,000 per day during my trips. In addition I organise public presentations and pilot courses focusing on international VFR flying.
In 2014 I carried out an expedition entitled "European Islands from the Skies". The expedition covered islands in the Mediterranean, East Atlantic, North Sea and Baltic Sea. Altogether about 45 flight days and almost 200 flight hours have resulted in a fantastic series of photos and videos which you can find on this site. In addition I have published four e-books with photos, text and videos covering these trips. So far these are only available in Czech and one in but if there is interest I am prepared to make English and French versions too.

Photos and videos with brief explanations are chronologically shown below starting with the latest. To my knowledge the collection of videos and photos on this website is the most systematic presentation of aerial videos and photos available anywhere.

This was the last day of the last part of the expedition
"European Islands from the Skies". Because the weather
forecast was not favourable for the following day I decided to fly
directly to Příbram and thus leave out filming the Dracula castle
in Romania. My trip that day took six hours and I landed at
Příbram with fuel for another about 45 minutes. more

This was perhaps the most dramatic day of this part of the European
Islands expedition. I flew over the islands in the Northern Aegean
Sea and crossed over to Turkey. However, for about an hour I was
not able to establish radio communication with Turkish Air Traffic
Control. As a result I was increasingly concerned about the
possibility of being chased by the Turkish Air Force. Finally, over
the Marmar Sea an airline pilot conveyed my message to the Istanbul
Approach controller who gave me instructions to turn to the North.
This meant that I could not fly my planned route via the Bosphorus
but at least I managed to get through Turkish airspace without
any real trouble. more

fell from the skies. Then I travelled further west to overfly
Mykonos and south over Naxos and Ios to Santorini with its wide
flooded volcano. When I finished filming there I continued to Milos
and then landed at Syros. Here I managed to refuel and continued to
Lesbos. more
