Private pilots sometime fear flying in France. My experience is, however, excellent – the dispatchers are usually very co-operative and helpful, they speak good English and provide any assistance a pilot of a sport aircraft may need.
One problem in France is that the airspace is often very complicated with military airspaces making the VFR flying more difficult. So this is exactly a situation in which the friendly assistance of the dispatchers is especially needed.
I have flown many times to France – twice to Brittany, once to Cote d´Azur, once to Avignon, three times to Paris (Lognes airport) and many times to Strabourg. I have only taken photographs of Brittany and Normandy and a couple on the way to Cannes. So I have a lot to catch up in France.
