From Pribram to Cyprus

Flying from Czech Republic to Cyprus is not so simple. My objective for this 2500 km (about 1600 miles) long journey was to make only one stop on the whole journey planned for two days. During the flight I was, however, faced with three major problems which made it truly unforgettable. First, It was the gas explosion in the Galileo offices in Prague where I had many ex-colleagues and friends (see for example: here). Second, it was the cost saving measures at Corfu airport which were the reason behind the damage to my pitot tube that translated into three days of waiting for a new one and a lot of money. Third, it was the strong headwind which nearly prevented me from reaching Cyprus almost forcing me to land on the sea. Even flying back was not easy – storm over my technical stop over Brindisi, engine problems half way over the Adriatic sea and high turbulent winds over the Alps. However, I made it and I logged another interesting trip into my diary.
